Have Your Say on the Future of 27 US National Monuments
The US government is seeking opinions from the public on whether to “un-designate” 27 National Monuments and remove their protected status. Among the monuments are five ocean reserves – Marianas Trench, Northeast Canyons & Seamounts, Pacific Remote Islands, Papahanaumokuakea, and Rose Atoll – which are in question as part of a new offshore energy strategy.
